Ubinodes helps international manufacturers and brands sell into Europe safely, lawfully, and with confidence. Our two core practices — EU product-safety compliance and cybersecurity — exist because every company crossing a border has to get them right. Around them sit the international business development and AI capabilities we built over two decades of doing the work ourselves. No generalist consultants. No disconnected service lines. Just expertise forged from operating across borders, not advising from the sidelines.

01. OUR STORY.

It started with aviation. In 2007 we founded Six Aviation as a B2C company marketing aircraft, propellers, and avionics to buyers across New Zealand, Australia, Asia-Pacific, the UK, the US, Germany, and France. That work taught us something no business-school course can: what it actually takes to move a product across borders, earn the trust of foreign buyers, and navigate markets that play by very different rules.

That accumulated expertise became too valuable to keep inside one industry, so we created Ubinodes as a spin-off — a B2B company that could put those capabilities to work for manufacturers in any sector.

The rest followed naturally. When you operate across borders, you quickly learn two things. First, that selling into a market like the European Union means meeting its rules — product safety, responsible-person obligations, accountability for what you place on the shelf. Helping clients clear those hurdles became a discipline in its own right. Second, that the world has bad actors, including state-sponsored ones; protecting client data, communications, and cross-border operations became non-negotiable. Those two necessities — compliance and security — are today the core of what we do.

Every service we offer exists because we needed it ourselves first.

02. WHAT WE DO.

EU Product-Safety Compliance is the backbone of our offer. Through Six Aviation, we act as the EU Responsible Person for non-EU manufacturers under the General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR), giving international brands the legal representative they must have to sell into the European market — and the assurance that their obligations are met in full.

Cybersecurity is built for the realities of cross-border business. International operations expose companies to risks that purely domestic businesses rarely encounter. We help manufacturers and brands protect their data, their communications, and their competitive advantage, and meet the rising bar set by European security regulation — with the seriousness the threat environment demands.

Alongside these, we offer two further services drawn from the same hands-on experience:

International Business Development — helping manufacturers identify target markets, build distribution relationships, and win real entry, not just a report.

AI Integration for Manufacturers — practical, not theoretical: integrating AI tools into operations in ways that reduce friction, speed up processes, and improve margins, informed by what actually works on the factory floor and in the export pipeline.

03. OUR ORGANISATION.

Ubinodes sits at the centre of a small group of brands, each with its own focus and its own customers. They share leadership, values, and the same bias toward hands-on expertise over theory.

Six Aviation — Born in aviation. Built for compliance. Six Aviation has evolved from its B2C roots into a B2B compliance-services company. Today it acts as the EU Responsible Person for non-EU manufacturers under the EU General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR), helping international brands meet their legal obligations to sell into the European market.

Poplarbio — Comprehensive health solutions, naturally. Some of our team wanted to get back to building a tangible product business — something physical they could put in a customer’s hands. Poplarbio is the result: plant-based health supplements sold directly to consumers — capsule complexes and essential-oil formulas that are vegan, cruelty-free, non-GMO, and gluten-free.

04. CONCLUSION.

The whole group is built on one conviction: real expertise comes from doing, not just advising. We have entered the markets, faced the regulations, dealt with the risks, and built the products — and that experience is what we bring to every client engagement.
